Directions for Use

  1. Application: Apply a thick, even coat of 2-3mm thickness with a paint brush, working in small sections to prevent paint rehardening.

  2. Processing time: Allow 15 minutes for the paint to completely blister before removal.

  3. Removal: Remove with a scraper or steel wool. On delicate wood, use a non-metallic scourer to prevent damaging the wood surface.

  4. Surface preparation: The surface can then be scrubbed using warm water. Avoid excessive water. On fine woods where grain raising or swelling is a concern, use methylated spirits instead.

  5. Drying: Allow the surface to dry thoroughly before repainting.

  6. Cleanup: Wash the applicator brush in water and screw the lid on tightly after use.

Application Tips

  • Lightly sandpaper or score paint to enhance stripping effectiveness
  • Work on a small section at a time to avoid paint rehardening
  • Use outdoors only – Methylene Chloride vapour is harmful to health on prolonged exposure
  • Move the item to be stripped to an open, shady outdoor area to ensure adequate ventilation

The product will not remove:

  • Kalsomine
  • Penetrating stains
  • Some specialist industrial finishes

Important note: Methylene chloride based strippers can darken some timbers. If clear finishing is intended, first test the stripper on an inconspicuous area.

Do not use hot air guns or torches with this paint stripper.

Storage

Store locked up in a dry, cool, well-ventilated place.
