Surface Preparation and Application Guide

Preparation Steps

  1. Surfaces to be bonded must be close-fitting, dry, and clean
  2. Shake bottle before use
  3. Apply adhesive liberally to one surface only
  4. Clamp appropriately - 30 minutes for softwoods; 1 hour for hardwoods
  5. Do not stress the joint for 24 hours
  6. Wipe off excess adhesive with a damp cloth while still wet

  • Fill small gaps by mixing Aquadhere Exterior with sawdust
  • Longer clamping times may be required for joints under high stress
  • Ensure surfaces are dry before applying the product

  • Uncured product may be removed with water

  • Will stain with brown/black colour if contaminated with rust (iron oxide) or in the presence of tannins in many woods
  • Not suitable for below waterline applications or continuous submersion
