Application Directions
Surface Preparation: Ensure surfaces are dry and free from oil, grease, and dust.
Application Process:
- Cut cartridge tip and fit nozzle, or cut tube nozzle to desired opening (5mm)
- Apply bead along the length of joist, stud, or batten; on broad flat surfaces apply beads every 40cm
- Bring surfaces together as soon as possible (within the first 5 minutes) for optimal initial grab
- For heavy items or overhead applications, fix with sufficient nails, screws, or clamping to hold load and achieve contact over the total bond area
- Allow adhesive to set (minimum 24 hours) before removing temporary fasteners or clamping
- Use with mechanical fasteners in high stress applications
Cleanup & Storage
Cleanup: Uncured product may be removed with water. Cured product can be removed by scraping or sanding.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place.
Important Limitations
- Measured grab strength applies to timber-to-timber bonds
- Pre-test plastics and rubbers to determine compatibility; not suitable for polyethylene, polypropylene, or PTFE
- Longer cure times expected in cold or humid weather and for less porous surfaces
- Grab may be affected by substrate porosity and weather; supports recommended for heavy items and overhead applications
- Suitable for interior and sheltered exterior applications protected from moisture only
- Avoid use in tightly clamped joints (e.g., cabinet making or joinery)
- Not for use on mirrors; use Liquid Nails Mirror & Metal instead
- Not for metals heated by direct sunlight; bonds weaken at higher temperatures
- Do not use as the sole bonding agent for structural bonding
